The Graduate Program in Plant Physiology at the Federal University of Lavras was founded in 1988 and has master's and doctoral courses. The PPGFV has how  aim to train qualified professionals, generate, transmit and disseminate knowledge in the field of Plant Physiology through high-level teaching of university research,  making available to the labor market university professors/scientific researchers, masters and doctors based on ethical and humanist principles.
